04 / AboutMy Story
I grew up with a brain that runs on overdrive and a childhood I didn't get much say in. So I took apart the things I could control. First it was toys, then Gameboys and VCRs by the time I was 10. I wanted to know how everything worked, and then I wanted to make it work better.
Video games taught me business before any job did. I learned logic and automation from game systems, and I learned markets from trading in games like World of Warcraft. As a musician I was always inventing band names and artist aliases, then drawing the logos and picking the colors. I was building brands before I knew that's what it was called.
Then came 13 years in insurance, saving people serious money with the right coverage and a little education. After that I ran inventory audits across four states, and now I work in asset protection. Every job taught me the same lesson: find the leak, then fix it.
AI turned that into a superpower. I started out building spreadsheet tools at my day job, wanted to turn them into an app other buildings could use, and realized I was paying monthly for software I could build myself. Now I run an army of trained AI agents, and most freelancers don't have one.
Recently I took Marty and Donna's catalog of hand-drawn underground comics at Ripped Toons and put it on the web as merch people can buy.
People call me a freelancer. But in a gold rush, the smart money sells shovels, and AI is today's gold rush. So I sell solutions: bridges, shovels and ladders. I'm here to get you across, dig you out or lift you up. When we're done, I want you so fired up about what we built, and how little it cost, that you can't stop telling your friends.
Away from the desk, Moose and Sandy run the house, and I'm usually deep in 7 Days to Die, Fallout or a game idea of my own. I'm a dad to my daughters and a partner to Sarah, and I write songs for my family.
